Andrea Damast is co-founder of The Yellow Brick Road Project, loving mother to Jolie, and determined to change the course of the lives of those touched by HNRNPH2 genetic changes.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising and Communications from The University of Wisconsin Madison. She began her career at New York Magazine on their advertising sales team handling the fashion category. She later joined Instyle.com as the Executive Director of American Fashion and Retail for 5 years.   Most recently, she worked at Snapchat and helped start their first sales team in the NYC office.


Trish Bio Pic


Trish is a passionate co-founding member of the Board of the Directors for The Yellow Brick Road Project and mom to Morgan, touched by an HNRNPH2 mutation.  A seasoned Early Childhood Educator, she earned her Bachelors Degree of Science from Penn State University majoring in Human Development and Family Studies with an Early Childhood focus. Her first role working with children was within the Child Life Program at Westchester Medical Center in NY providing play experiences to children as well as offering psychosocial support to their families.  She went on to earn her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from the College of New Rochelle and resides and teaches in the suburbs of New York.



Paula Cole Tyson is a dedicated member of The Yellow Brick Road Project and devoted mother to Lillie, a beautiful little girl impacted by an HNRNPH2 genetic variation. She is currently a Compensation Consultant and Analyst at ChaseCompGroup LLC, which was recently acquired by Arthur J. Gallagher and Co. in NYC.  Before joining the firm in 2011, she worked independently for consulting and other service firms, assisting in client relations, account management, and accounting functions.  Prior to her independent work, she worked for a private company for six years in personnel management and client relations and began her career as an analyst and consultant for Watson Wyatt (now Towers Watson) in the areas of human resources and organization effectiveness.  She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages from the University of Georgia, graduating Magna Cum Laude.



Haim Farkash, father to young Yaeli, is a co-founder of the Project and is tenacious in finding ways to intervene on what is happening to those diagnosed with HNRNPH2 mutations.  He is the chief operating officer in the MT trading group, a global consortium specializing in international procurement, marketing and distribution of merchandise in developing countries in Africa and Asia.  Haim has an extensive experience in the structuring of cross-border transactions and supply chain of goods with a focus on maritime law and international direct and indirect tax considerations.  Prior to joining MT trading group Haim was an associate in the commercial litigation group of one of the leading law firms in Israel. Haim was admitted to the Israeli Bar and a graduate of Bar-Ilan university where he earned his LLB with concentrations in Law and Economics.


David Damast


David is proud father to Jolie and is a committed member of The Yellow Brick Road Project’s Board of Directors.  Professionally, David joined York Capital Management in July 2006 and is a Partner of the Firm. David is a Co-Portfolio Manager of the York Select funds, York Event-Driven UCITS funds, and York Sub-Advised ’40 Act Strategy. David is also member of the Firm’s Brokerage Committee. Prior to joining York, he worked as an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions department at Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. from 2001 to 2004. Previously, David held various positions in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. David received a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.




John is the doting dad to Morgan. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from Iona College. He began his career at Arthur Anderson Accounting Firm before changing paths to follow his true passion- food and event catering.   Since then, John’s played various roles in hundreds of fundraising events throughout the tri state-area. Two fundraisers he is especially proud to have been affiliated with are the Annual Gala for the Children of the Fallen Patriots Foundation in Greenwich, CT and the Annual Food and Wine Tasting Event for ARC of Westchester, NY.



Evan Damast is a driven member of The Yellow Brick Road Project’s Board of Directors; his interest born from his determination to help his niece, Jolie.  Professionally, Evan is a Managing Director and Global Head of Equity and Fixed income Syndicate at Morgan Stanley. Evan is based in New York and joined Morgan Stanley in 2002 and has held a number of roles in the capital markets and investment banking divisions.  Prior to his current role, Evan was the Global head of Equity Syndicate from 2012 to 2016 and the Head of Natural Resources Equity Capital markets for the Americas from 2008 to 2012.  His academic degrees are from the University of Michigan.
